AN OVERVIEW OF THE MINISTRY

Ministry of Solid Mineral producing communities was created by the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State on 1st July, 2015. The Office is presently located behind multipurpose hall Cabinet Office, Abakaliki. The Ministry has about 12 Staff including professionals in the Mining Industry.

The Ministry has three (3) functional departments they are Mineral Department, Accounts & Finance and Administration & Supplies Department.

VISION

Developing Ebonyi state; improving the internally generated revenue (IGR) and providing conducive environment for industrialization of the state in tandem with the leadership of the state Governor, Engr. David Nweze Umahi FNSE, FNATE .

MISSION

To develop modem technology involving small, medium and large mining activities in safe , host communities, technocrats; all levels of Government, with Ebonyi state as the pilot of the development plane in synergy with the avowed determination of the state chief executive to leave Ebonyi state much higher and better than he met her.

In line with the vision of his Excellency Engr. David Nweze Umahi to transform Ebonyi through mineral deposits in the state.
