PROFILE OF COMRADE JONAH O. EGBA (KSJI)
Comrade Jonah Odo Egba was born into the Royal Family of Chief Fidelis Egba Ogah of Amoffia Ngboin the year 1962.
Comrade Jonah Odo Egba who hails from Amoffia Ngbo attended St. Augustine Seminary Secondary, Ezzangbo. He attended University of Science and Technology Port Harcourt and served at Ondo State Teaching Hospital, Owo (formally called Specialist Hospital, Owo) in 1989/90.
He also had his Master Degree (MSc) in Environmental Management at Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), Enugu.
Political Positions Held.
Comrade Jonah O. Egba was elected Executive Chairman of Ohaukwu LGA in 1991 and was appointed Hon. Commissioner for Rural development in 2003 by his Excellency Dr. Sam Ominyi Egwu CON.
He was also reappointed Hon. Commissioner for Finance, and Economic Development in 2004 by his Excellency Dr. Sam Ominyi Egwu, Governor of Ebonyi state.
In 2007, comrade Jonah Egba was appointed the Hon. Commissioner for Land, Survey and Housing by his Excellency Chief Martin Elechi CON. MFR, Governor of Ebonyi state and 2011, he was reappointed Hon. Commissioner for inter party dialogue, Government house.
In 2015, he was appointed Hon. commissioner for Grants and Donor agencies, and Hon. Commissioner for Economic Empowerment and Poverty Reduction.
In 2019, Comrade Jonah O. Egba was appointed Hon. Commissioner for Solid Minerals Development Communities by his Excellency Engr. David Nweze Umahi FNSE, FNATE .
Comrade Jonah Odo Egba served the State in other capacities for instance, he had served as member of Board of Internal Revenue, Ebonyi State, member of Administrative Board of Enquiry for the Mal-practices in Enugu State Ministries in 1995, member of Ebonyi State Assets sharing committee in 2002 and other Boards and Parastatals.
He is also a member of Environmental Managers of Nigeria (EMAN), and member of knight of St. John International (KSJ) and member of other different bodies.
He had received numerous and uncountable awards, from Institutions, Communities, Chieftaincy titles, Religious groups, Churches and pious societies, Catholic Women Organization, Abakaliki Diocese.
He is fortunate to have received papal blessings/reorganization from two popes/St. Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI. He is married with Children.
His motto is “Show the light for the people to see”. He loves Lawn tennis, Football and Natural studies.
VISION
Developing Ebonyi state; improving the internally generated revenue (IGR) and providing conducive environment for industrialization of the state in tandem with the leadership of the state Governor, Engr. David Nweze Umahi FNSE, FNATE .
MISSION
To develop modem technology involving small, medium and large mining activities in safe , host communities, technocrats; all levels of Government, with Ebonyi state as the pilot of the development plane in synergy with the avowed determination of the state chief executive to leave Ebonyi state much higher and better than he met her.
