Cooperative Department

The cooperative department is one of the professional and specialized departments in the Ministry. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry registers and regulates the activities of cooperative societies through the department of the cooperative. The Integrated Cooperative Centre located along industrial site, Abakaliki is directly under the department. Major functions:

1. Cooperative promotion and awareness creation.
2. Provision of effective cooperation education, training and seminars to all levels of cooperatives societies in the state.
3. Formation and registration of primary, secondary and state apex cooperatives in Ebonyi State.
