THE MAIDEN EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MEETING OF EBONYI STATE FOR THE YEAR 2018

Governor David Nweze Umahi of Ebonyi State has expressed his gratitude to God, for his abiding mercy and grace that saw Ebonyians through the past year 2017. He made this known during the maiden Executive Council meeting tagged Red Carpet EXCO 2018.

The event which took place at Government House Executive Chamber attracted some dignitaries among whom were the Deputy Governor of the State, Mr. Kelechi Igwe (PhD), PDP Vice Chairman South East, Mr. Austin Umahi, Commissioners and other Executive  Council Members.

Addressing Ebonyi citizens, Governor David Nweze Umahi called on Ebonyi people to approach 2018 with a new commitment anchored on faith in God. The Governor maintained that the priority of Ebonyi as a state is to be committed to God and as well pursue impeccable peace accompanied with hard work.  

The commissioner of information and state orientation, Senator Emmanuel Onwe in his remarks extoled the giant strides of His Excellency Engr. Dr. David Nweze Umahi within
two and half years in the office. He further stated that ministry of information has been on the front burner in disseminating the activities of government to the world. Senator Onwe reassured Ebonyians that in this 2018, they are battle ready in breaking the front tiers of achievement of David Umahi’s administration to the rest of the world in the area of infrastructural development.

On his part the PDP South East Vice chairman, Mr. Austin Umahi said that Ebonyians has every cause to glorify the name of the Almighty God for seeing a brand new year. He further added that 2018 is a year of Divine manifestations, a year of fulfillment as well as a year of song of victory. Mr. Austin Umahi emphatically acknowledged that 2018 will be better than previous years of economic recession. He also maintained that he is very much optimistic that Governor David Umahi’s administration will do more in the area of infrastructural development.
